"The University of North Carolina at Pembroke invites applications for a full-time tenure-track faculty position in quantitative methods with secondary teaching either in economics or finance. The position will be available in Fall 2012. Salary is competitive and commensurate with experience and qualifications.
An earned Ph.D. in economics or finance, preferably from an AACSB accredited program, is required prior to the commencement of employment. ABD candidates may be considered if evidence of completion of their degree program prior to commencement of employment is presented.
Responsibilities include: teach undergraduate and graduate courses in quantitative methods. The successful candidate will also teach courses either in economics or finance depending on his/her academic background; engage in appropriate research and publication to maintain academic qualifications; provide academic advising; contribute to curriculum development; serve on various committees, and assume other instructional and service-related duties as assigned. Course assignments may be during the day, evening and may include off-campus locations and online education.
Proven and documented success in undergraduate teaching and at the MBA level is highly desirable."
