The University of Cologne, Faculty of Management, Economics and Social Sciences, Professor Dr. Susanne Prantl, Professor of Economics, esp. Industrial Economics and Applied Microeconometrics is looking for a
PhD-Student (Research and Teaching Position) in industrial economics, economics of innovation or applied microeconometrics.
The position is a research and teaching position with a weekly working time of up to 29.87 hours (3/4 TV-L 13), starting June 1st, 2012 or later.
The successful candidate is encouraged to join the doctoral program of the Cologne Graduate School (CGS). Collaboration will take place with Prof. Dr. Susanne Prantl who offers supervision of the dissertation. Further excellent collaboration opportunities and research facilities are provided by the Department of Economics.
Applicants should have a strong interest in empirical research, excellent analytical and mathematical skills as well as profound knowledge in econometrics. A scientific graduate degree is required, as well as strong command of German and English. Salaries are based on the German TVL-13 scale if terms and conditions of collective bargaining law are fulfilled. The initial contract period is two years and based on an evaluation the option of an extension in time exists.
