The UCLA Anderson Forecast and The UCLA Ziman Center for Real Estate, research centers of the UCLA Anderson Graduate School of Management, seek to jointly hire a full-time research economist. This is a non-tenure track position with a one- to two-year contract, including possible renewal. Researchers contribute to the ongoing work performed by the centers to create economic analysis on topical questions with regard to housing, real estate, and the urban economy for the nation, California, and a variety of local regions. Research includes policy analysis along with econometric modeling. Academic teaching is optional, but not an emphasis in the first year. Preference will be given to applicants with consulting or other professional research experience, but applications from new Ph.D.s will be considered. The position requires production of high-level analysis for presentation at conferences and publications to a diverse audience including academicians, business people and government policymakers. Excellent written and oral communication skills are essential, as well as the ability to work with frequent deadlines.
