JRC-IPTS is looking for Economic Researchers

The Institute for Prospective Technological Studies (IPTS), located in Seville (Spain), is one of the seven scientific institutes of the European Commission's Joint Research Centre (JRC).

The Institute's main activities relate to providing strategic support for the conception and development of EU policies. It has a staff of approximately 250, of whom about two-thirds are researchers.

The Institute's work is structured along the lines set out in the Community Research Framework Programme and takes the form of a series of Scientific Actions in a range of areas, including the research and innovation policy and techno-economic foresight, environment, energy and transport, information society, and agriculture.

These positions offer many possibilities to network with academia and participate in EU research projects, workshops and meetings.

The fellowships duration and the approximate net monthly salary are:
• category "Grant Holder 40" (senior researcher) two-year contract and EUR 5,000;
• category "Grant Holder 30" three-year contract and EUR 3,200.
