The central task of the positions will be the application of econometric, particularly microeconometric, or experimental methods on environmental issues, or the development and the application of theory-based quantitative models for environmental policy analysis based on the general equilibrium theory. One position is assigned to the research area of Energy Economics, the focus of a second position is determined by the future employee’s profile. The successful applicants will conduct and manage scientific research projects and challenging economic policy advising projects. We offer the opportunity to contribute own ideas and to develop the profile of the research department conceptually and strategically.
The successful applicants will have a PhD with an emphasis in environmental or energy economics or a related field and an excellent knowledge of empirical methods (econometrics, experimental methods, or CGE modelling). Candidates should preferably have experience in research, economic policy advising and project management. Fluency in English is required; knowledge of German would be appreciated.

Remuneration is based on the TV-L statutory salary scale and its associated public sector benefits.
