The Kühne Logistics University (KLU, named after the generous donor Klaus-Michael Kühne) is a recently founded private business school with a strong emphasis on logistics research and education. It is located in the large and vibrant city of Hamburg, Germany. The KLU has received state recognition by the authorities of the local state Hamburg. The KLU is currently building its business and economics faculty, who will also contribute to a strong international reputation in research and teaching. The working language is English.
The KLU seeks to appoint - starting in January 2013 or later by mutual agreement - a professor in macroeconomics or international economics at the rank of either an Associate or Full Professor. Candidates should combine a strong research record with an understanding of public policy implications.
We are seeking an experienced, talented and highly motivated professor with a proven record of internationally recognized research who wants to take his or her next career step. The candidate should have teaching experience in MSc, MBA and/or EMBA programs. Experience in obtaining research funds would be helpful. Depending on experience and academic record of the applicant, the position may be filled at a full professor or tenure track associate professor level.
Except for tenured Full Professors, tenure-track positions are for a term of three years which may be renewed by mutual agreement. The KLU offers attractive and internationally competitive salaries, teaching loads, research grants and support. Airfare and relocation costs will be provided where appropriate.
