The Department of Business, Economics and Law at  the Technische Universität Darmstadt invites applications for a vacant Professorship in

Public Finance and Economic Policy (W3)

(ID-No. 12)

Requirements are an outstanding qualification in independent research in the field of Public Finance with a focus on empirical research on financial and economic policy together with an excellent record of teaching at university level. The candidate should have experience in attracting external research funding and an international focus.

He or she should be willing to engage in the education of students of industrial engineering at the Bachelor and Master level. In addition to that, the chair is expected to have the ability and willingness to cooperate interdisciplinary within the Technische Universität Darmstadt, especially in research programmes such as “Innovation & Growth”, “Governance: Compliance & Regulation” or “Logistics & Supply Chain Management”

The position is tenured with a remuneration package commensurate with experience and qualifications, following the German "W-Besoldung". The regulations for employment are specified under §§ 61 and 62 HHG (Hessisches Hochschulgesetz). Candidates who already hold a civil servant status (Beamtenverhältnis) can be reappointed under the same status. Nonpermanent contracts can be made permanent after positive evaluation.
