Responsibilities:  

Research on economic issues of the public sector and the regulation of industrial sectors where competition is to be sustained by regulatory policy, specifically the health sector but also network based industries l. Teaching obligations in the bachelor and master program Industrial Engineering and Management, in the bachelor program Economics and in the master program Industrial and Network Economics (MINE). Engagement in teaching first year bachelor courses on public economics and advanced courses dealing with a sectoral focus is requested. Candidates should posses comprehensive methodological knowledge of Public Finance and Public Economics combined with and focus on applied and policy oriented research, e.g. Health Economics. They should be prepared to collaborate with other research areas of the Faculty, specifically Health Technology and Health Economics as well as Infrastructure and Network Economics. Engagement and collaboration in the academic self administration is expected.

Requirements:

Fulfilment of the profession requirements in compliance with article 100 of the Berlin Act of Higher Education (BerlHG). Candidates must demonstrate the successful completion of a Habilitation or equivalent research achievements; Academic excellence through a strong record of publications in international peer-reviewed journals and attracted external funding from national and international institutions; experience in large-scale research projects; interdisciplinary work and the international research community as well as the ability and experience in the expected field of teaching.
