The conference aims to develop deeper insights in the evolution of location patterns of new (high tech) industries and tries to contribute to the discussion on differences in regional opportunities to benefit as locations of new industries. We therefore search for papers which focus on explaining determinants for the location of new industries. We are considering making a publication (special edition of a journal or an edited volume) of selected papers presented at the conference.
