Orkestra-Basque Institute of Competitiveness invites applicants for the position of junior/senior researcher to work in the area of clusters, regional development and innovation. He/she will focus mainly on projects linked with clusters, cluster policies and regional competitiveness.
He/she will be responsible for: developing research projects; contributing to the preparation of project reports, working papers and academic publications; interacting with different agents linked to the subject of clusters (cluster association managers, policy makers, firms....) and general research support for research projects related to the analysis of clusters and regional competitiveness.
The successful candidate will ideally have the following attributes:

* A strong first degree in business, economics or a related social science discipline.

* A PhD in business, economics, or a related social science discipline.

* Excellent command of written and spoken English and Spanish, with other languages an advantage.

* Some experience with working on externally-funded research projects.

* Strong data analysis and data presentation skills.

* Good presentation and report-writing skills.

The post is based in San Sebastian, Spain, at Orkestra's offices on the University of Deusto campus. It is initially offered on a fixed-term 2-year contract, with envisaged opportunities for extension beyond this period. Remuneration and grade (junior/senior) will be based on the candidate's merits and experience.
